QUORiON Enters PC POS Market Segment

Source: Product Launch

Just in time for the 2008 CeBIT Fair in Hannover, Germany, QUORiON Data Systems officially announces that it has entered the PC POS market segment. At the fair the company will showcase its 15” touch screen PC POS system known as the QTouch PC, which houses all the interfaces one would expect from a PC system such as LAN, RS232, PS/2, and even RJ 11 sockets to attach 2 cash drawers. In other words, business owners gain all the compatibility they need for their branch specific peripherals such as mobile ordering terminals, wireless modules, beverage systems, and many more.

Even though it is PC based, one can nonetheless deploy it like a cash register on a stand or hang it on our wall mount. Through the operating system of choice, end users can run their own POS software, program parameters as well as enjoy access to e-mail, Internet, and back office applications. “Delivering customizable products has always been our primary objective. We consider the QTouch PC the ultimate single platform solution for business management. End users will have all the technology they need at their disposal as well as the ability to deploy the system in any way they see fit”, Patrick Grueschow, VP of Marketing & IT explains.

The company has come a long way, since rolling out its first cash register line in 1998. The CR500 series was the first cash register to see action. Since then QUORiON has introduced renowned products such as the QMP50 – a low cost fiscal cash register. In 2007 the company launched its own touch screen POS system, the QTOUCH2, which customers from London to Sidney highly praised. “For us the entry into the PC POS segment marks a milestone in our young history. We can now offer a full product complement much like the big players that already have been active for 30 years. Nonetheless, this is no reason to become complacent”, Mr. Grueschow asserts. “In our highly competitive industry, we must remain vigilant in order to compete. We consequently have set plans in motion to remain competitive in the future as well. Further, our company prides itself in offering tailor made solutions and personal customer service, which huge conglomerates simply cannot”, Mr. Grueschow adds.

As in the previous 9 years, QUORiON will once again attend the CeBIT Fair in Hannover, Germany. The company will showcase its products in Hall 17, stand E31. The fair commences on March 4th and continues on till March 9th, 2008.
